Counselling, sometimes also referred to as therapy, is a process in which a qualified counsellor uses their skills to support an individual in exploring and understanding their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, in order to improve their wellbeing and make positive changes in their life. By having a deeper understanding of ourselves, and our emotional responses, we are often able to better navigate life and its challenges.
I work in a person-centred way, meaning that you are in control of what you wish to explore within your sessions, and how you may want to challenge yourself. I will not set the agenda or give you advice, but I may use my skills to encourage deeper reflection and 'hold a mirror' up to your process, in order to support self-awareness.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I am also fully insured and DBS checked.
Yes, whatever you bring to your sessions will be kept confidential, and any notes that I make following the sessions are solely for my use and are stored securely. There are, however, circumstances in which confidentiality must be breached, mainly around risk of serious harm and criminal activity. Confidentiality and its limits would be further discussed within our first session, should you have any questions.
Your Space Your Time Counselling Centre
3 Albion Court
72 Attleborough Road
Nuneaton
CV11 4JJ
The centre is a short walk from Nuneaton town centre and train station. There is a limited number of car parking spaces on site and plenty of nearby on street parking.
Please note - I also offer online sessions if that is preferred.
At present, I only offer individual counselling for those aged 18+. If you are looking for couples counselling, I'd be happy to make a recommendation to a more suitably qualified counsellor.
Sessions are priced at £50.
I offer a concession rate of £40 per session for students.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and will usually be held weekly, on the same day at the same time each week. The day, time, frequency, and number of sessions is negotiable and can be discussed at any time during counselling.
Please feel free to contact me using the contact form on this website, or via email or telephone, so that we can have an initial no-obligation discussion about your circumstances and what brings you to counselling. This also gives you an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.
If you wish to continue, we can arrange the first session and I will send you an assessment form to complete prior to that. This form helps me to find out more about you, and what you hope to get from counselling, as well as ensuring that person-centred therapy is the right type of therapy for your needs.
Please note - I may be with a client when you contact me and therefore, if you call me, I won't be able to answer. Please leave a message where possible and I will get back to you as soon as I am able to.
My working days are Tuesday-Thursday between the hours of 08:00-20:00.
Please note - session slots are subject to availability.
